Holiday Boutique recap:

Just so everybody is on the same page, for the first time our Holiday Boutique event lost money for the SU (which pays the rent and clean up and staffing for the building). Our events are designed to break even and in the past this has been our only event that has made money for the SU. We will need to look at our options before next year’s event. One is to cut our costs. Two is to revert to our previous method of charging each troop to participate in the event (as well as for patches) in addition to the bake sale. Three is to combine with our nearby SU. The choice is up to those in leadership at the SU and organizers of next year’s event.

Silver Project

Cadette GS Maddmie Marusich is working on her Silver Award. She has packets of pre-assembled packets of flag pins for scouts to make as a found raiser. 10 pins for $3.50. The money is going for her project at the Minneapolis VA Hospital. Contact her at for further info.

GSRV Updates:
It isn’t too soon to think about attending Girl Scout RV camps this summer. Info is available at Many of our girls have attended in the past so ask around.
